WALTER BERNARD STAIERT, JR, 60, of Elk Horn died Saturday, May 12th, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Mass of Christian Burial for Walter Bernard Staiert, Jr. Will be held on Thursday, May 17th at 11:00 am in the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 am to 9:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home, with a wake service at 7:00 PM

Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery.

His wife – Lauri, of Elk Horn;
His mother – Ella Mae Staiert, of Harlan;
His children – Mark Staiert, of Des Moines, & Krista (Doug) Allen, of Elk Horn;
His sisters – Marie (Mike) Wierdin, of Harlan, & Jeanne (Mark) Eastman, of Omaha;

Mass of Christian Burial for 60 year old Walter Bernard Staiert, Jr. Of Elk Horn will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 17 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan. Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery. Walter passed away on Saturday, May 12th at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Survivors include his wife, Lauri Stairt of Elk Horn; his mother, Ella Mae Staiert of Harlan; children: Mark Staiert of Des Moines and Krista (Doug) Allen of Elk Horn; 5 Brothers; and 2 sisters. Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements where visitation will be held from 8am to 9pm on Wednesday May 16, with a rosary beginning at 7pm.
