Darlene A. Pond, age 84, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away October 11, 2011, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Darlene was born February 11, 1927, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to the late John P. and Anna (Flynn) Allmon. She was a homemaker.

Darlene was preceded in death by husbands, William Lamkins and William Pond; sons, Stuart J Lamkins, William John Lamkins; grandson, Robert Daley, Jr.; sister, Joyce Ellis; brothers, John, Allen and Marvin Allmon; son-in-law, Robert L. Daley.

She is survived by daughters, Sheryl Daley, of Council Bluffs and Jennifer (Rodney) Grap, of Glenwood, Iowa; sons, Robert Lamkins and Matt (Lupe) Lamkins, all of Council Bluffs; 20 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Delores Lamkins, of Council Bluffs; brothers, Tom (Toni) Allmon and Mike Allmon; sister, Gladys Harris, all of Council Bluffs; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the Family Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral Service Friday, 1 p.m., at the mortuary. Interment Garner Township Cemetery with a lunch following at Epworth United Methodist Church. The family will direct memorials.
