Hans Christensen, Former Resident of Buffalo, Dies

Hans M. Christensen, a former resident of Buffalo, Ia., and Davenport, died Wednesday at his home in Wisconsin Dells, Wi., after an extended illness.
Mr. Christensen was born Oct. 12, 1865 in Denmark and came to this country, directly to Buffalo in 1890. He was married to Caroline Petersen in Davenport in 1892. They lived in Davenport and Buffalo until 1914 when the family moved to Wisconsin. Mr. Christensen was a member of the Danish Brotherhood lodge of Davenport.
Surviving are the wife; four daughters, Mrs. Carl Rauch of Buffalo, Mrs. Emil Burgess, Mrs. Carl Paulson and Mrs. Art Voelliger of Bettendorf; three sons, Walter, Jens and Carl, all of Wisconsin Dells; two brothers and a sister in Denmark, and one brother, Jens, in Chicago. There are ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Runge chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery, Buffalo. The body will arrive in Davenport Friday morning.
