Funeral services for Lewellyn "Lou Ellen" M. Thumm, 88, Davenport, were held July 5, 1995 at Runge Mortuary in Davenport, with burial in Oakdale Memorial Garden in Davenport.

Mrs. Thumm died July 2 at her home.

Lewellyn Kennicott married Leroy "Roy" Wilkins in 1926 in Harvey, Ill. He died in 1943. She married John Thumm in 1944 in Davenport. He died in 1978.

Mrs. Thumm was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal and the former Davenport Osteopathic hospital. She had attended nursing school in Harvey, Ill.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose 106 in Davenport and the American Association for Retired Persons. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Mrs. Thumm is survived by a step-daughter, Marie Thumm Gower, North Carolina; 2 sons, LeRoy Wilkins, Davenport and Robert Wilkins, Bennett; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Adeline Balahoski, Michigan. She was preceded in death by both husbands, a daughter, Mary in 1928 and a son, Jacob in 1927.
