Funeral services for Fritz H. Spickermann, 93, Wilton and formerly of Davenport, were held May 27, 1995 at the Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Burial was in the Pine Hill cemetery, Davenport.

Mr. Spickermann died May 23 at the Wilton Care Center, following an extended illness.

The son of George and Gertrude Giebelstein Spickermann, he was born June 13, 1901 in New Liberty. He married Mildred Stuhr Feb. 16, 1927 in Davenport. She died Nov. 24, 1970.

Mr. Spickermann farmed in the New Liberty area for 32 years, retiring in 1959.

He was a former member of the Scott County Farm Bureau, and former township trustee and school director for Liberty township.

Mr. Spickermann is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Delmar and Donna Spickermann, New Liberty; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Harlan Petersen, Belle Vista, Ark.; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Spickermann, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Wayne, March 19, 1929 and a brother, Henry in November 1965.
