Funeral services for Ruby A. Thess, 83, Durant, will be held at 3 p.m. April 22, 1995 at the Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Dan Schmiechen officiating. Mabyn Fox is the organist and Henry Bentley will sing. Pallbearers will be Allen and Arnold Regennitter, Roger Oldham, Jeff Thoma, Lynn Henderson and Charles Lilienthal. Burial will be in the Durant cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21 at the Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant.

Ruby Thess died April 14, 1995 at the Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

The daughter of Herman and Jennie Zoe Sherman Thess, she was born Jan. 24, 1912 in Scott county.

Ms. Thess had been employed as a clerk at Jeff's Market in Durant.

She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine (Mrs. Richard) Dulaney, Davenport; a grandson, Capt. Patrick Dulaney, USAF, Omaha, Neb.; and a nephew, Keith Thess, Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, John Thess in 1989 and Art Thess in 1994.

Memorials may be made to the Durant ambulance.
