Funeral services for Leroy H. Meyer, 73, Durant, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 12, 1995 at the Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Donald Lawson officiating. Mabyn Fox is the organist and Henry Bentley will sing. Pallbearers are Ronald Paustian, Ralph Keppy, Rick Overton, LaVerne Arp, Marty Meyer and Merle Meyer. Burial will be in the Walcott cemetery.

Mr. Meyer died April 8 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

The son of John and Lizzie Paustian Meyer, he was born Aug. 30, 1921 in rural Scott county. He married Marjorie C. Schlueter June 26, 1943 in Davenport. She died Oct. 3, 1989.

Mr. Meyer farmed in rural Scott county and retired in 1987, when he moved to Durant. He was a member of the Scott County Farm Bureau, Walcott Community Club and the Walcott American Legion Social Club.

He is survived by a son, Loren and his wife, Vicky Meyer, Durant; 2 grandchildren, Chad Meyer, Wilton and Tara Meyer, Durant; 2 sisters, Lenora Arp, Stockton and Irene Cluassen, Davenport; and 2 brothers, Elmer, Bennett and Alvin, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother, Clem Meyer, in 1994.

Memorials may be made to the Durant Ambulance Service of Gloria Dei Lutheran church in Durant.
