Funeral services for Raymond C. Peckenschneider, 84, Davenport and formerly of Durant, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1995 at the Lacock Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Christine Tinker officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene Peckenschneider, Ronald Meyer, Wayne Long, George Koenigsaecker, Myron Brown, Jim Pelzer, Gregg Durlam, Eugene Peters and John Kraus. Burial will be in the Maysville cemetery.
Mr. Peckenschneider died Feb. 6 at Meadowlawn Nursin;g Home in Davenport.
The son of August and Louise Hansen Peckenschneider, he was born Aug. 14, 1910 in Cedar county.
He was employed at the Standard gas station in New Liberty for 4 years in the 1940's. He then worked as a farm hand for his brother-in-law, Charles Keppy, for 31 years, retiring and living in Durant for 15 years.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Adeline Wehde, Marion and Elnora Keppy, Davenport; 3 brothers, Allen, Bennett; Lester, New Liberty and Harvey, Topeka, Kan.; 2 nephews and 13 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Allice Gesell; 5 nephews and one niece.
Memorials may be made to the Durant ambulance.
