Funeral services for Leroy W. Schult, 71, Durant, were held Nov. 26, 1994 at the Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Pallbearers were Wayne Guyer, Larry Guyer, Glenn Schult, Bob Schult, Vernon Voelkers and Larry Jarck. Burial was in the Durant Cemetery.

Mr. Schult died Nov. 23 at the Genesis Medical Center-West Campus in Davenport.

The son of William and Emma Dietrich Schult, he was born March 18, 1923 in Scott county. He married Arlean Brandt Nov. 16, 1946 in Davenport.

Mr. Schult had farmed and was then employed in maintenance with the City of Durant for 12 years. He enjoyed reading western stories and spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Connie (Mrs. Robert) Cochren, Durant; 2 granddaughters, Staci and Ashley Cochren, Durant; 3 sisters, Audrey Guyer and Lorene Wenndt, both of Durant; and a brother, Harlyn Schult, Durant. He was preceded in death by his parents.
