Funeral services for Lucille Brenner, 74, Davenport, were held Oct. 4, 1994 at the Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton, with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Kathy Luethye was the organist and Henry Bentley sang. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.

Mrs. Brenner died Oct. 1 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, in Davenport.

The daughter of Henry and Dora Dietz Blocker, she was born Oct. 31, 1919. She married Kenneth Brenner Nov. 29, 1938 in Muscatine.

Mrs. Brenner was employed at Bendix in Davenport for 23 years, retiring in 1974.

She enjoyed playing cards at the Davenport Moose Lodge.

Mrs. Brenner is survived by her husband; 4 daughters, Stella Mooty, Mesa, Ariz.; Dixie Lane, Davenport; Donna (Mrs. Ivan) Tompkins, Wilton and Shirley (Mrs. Jerry) Sanders, Rock Falls, Ill.; 3 sisters, Verona Muhs, Davenport; Lydia (Mrs. Chester) LeRue, Rock Island, Ill.; and June (Mrs. Darold) Loney, Cedar Rapids; 2 brothers, Roy Blocker, Council Bluffs and Albert Blocker, Rock Island, Ill.; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death a son, William Arthur Brenner, Feb. 5, 1984; a grandson, Thomas Danielsen, Dec. 12, 1985; a granddaughter and great-grandson, Shawn and Royce Brown, both on April 13, 1994 and several brothers and sisters.
