Funeral services for Irene Sievers, 92, Davenport and formerly of New Liberty, were held May 14, 1994 at Runge Mortuary in Davenport, with burial in the Dixon cemetery.

Mrs. Sievers died May 11 at the Davenport Lutheran Home.

Irene Schneckloth married Hugo Sievers in 1920 in Davenport. The couple farmed in the New Liberty area before moving to Davenport in 1956. Mr. Sievers died in 1975.

Mrs. Sievers enjoyed playing cards and traveling.

She is survived by a daughter, Gladys (Mrs. Allen) Plambeck, Davenport; a son, Glenn, New Liberty; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen; 2 grandchildren, Jon Sievers and Joyce Plambeck; and a great-granddaughter, Megan Lilienthal.
