Private services for Ferd Feuerbach, 93, retired Durant area farmer, were held at Durant Jan. 14 with the Rev. David Lawson officiating. Pallbearers were Kenneth, Kirk and Kyle Huesmann and John, Bart and Scott Brockmann. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Feuerbach died at the Wilton Nursing home Jan. 12.

The son of Henry and Wilhelmina Soenke Feuerbach, he was born in Scott county Oct. 13, 1894 and was married to Louella Hamann at Davenport April 9, 1921. She died in 1979.

Mr. Feuerbach was a veteran of army service in World War I. He farmed and raised cattle in the Durant area until 1948 when he retired and moved to Davenport.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Arloine) Huesmann, Durant, 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
