Funeral services for Herbert Telsrow, 86, Durant, were held Feb. 16 at the Lacock Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. David Lawson officiating. Pallbearers were Duane Telsrow, Dale Telsrow, Donovan Telsrow, Douglas Telsrow, Dennis Telsrow, Bryan Lenz and Mark Sorensen. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Telsrow died Feb. 14 at the Wilton Nursing Home.

The son of William and Theresa Korthaus Telsrow, he was born Aug. 22, 1900 in Scott county. He married Herta Wulf Aug. 24, 1927 in Davenport. He retired from farming in 1959 and the couple moved to Durant.

Mr. Telsrow is survived by his wife; a son, Darold Telsrow, Stockton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Darlene) Lenz, West Liberty and Mrs. Andrew (Marilyn) Sorensen, Durant; 13 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one sister, Clara Wulf, Davenport. He was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters.
