Funeral services for Joseph Kraxner, 70, Bennett, were held at McGinnis chapel, Bettendorf July 23 with burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery there. The Rev. Kenneth C. Martin, Davenport officiated. Pallbearers were Keith Dice, Walt Chalupa, and Paul and Bob Grunder, Art Jenner and Bob Jensen.

Mr. Kraxner died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, July 20.

He was born in Hungary Sept. 6, 1906. He was married to Agnes Opdahl who preceded him in death in 1938. He was married to Irene Feeney in St. Louis in 1942.

He was a former resident of Davenport and operated Kraxner excavating. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US navy.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Robert, Davenport; a son; David; 3 sisters, Mrs. E. A. Schultz, Bay City, Mich.; Mrs. Emma Gibbard, Inlay City, Mich. and Mrs. Clayton Sisson, Ft. Meyers, Fla. and 3 brothers, John and Edward, Bay City, Mich. and Rudy, Portland, Ore.
