Funeral services for Bertha W. Mordhorst, 92, were held at 2 p.m. July 2 at the Lacock Funeral Home in Durant with burial in the Durant cemetery. Rev. Peter Siemens officiated and Mrs. Diana Maurer was organist.

Organ selections were "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Pallbearers were Darwin Riessen, Gary Mordhorst, Gerald Hensen, Fred Dircks, Otto Stender and Gale Coss.

Mrs. Mordhorst was born Sept. 4, 1884 at Walcott to Hanspeter Petersen and Christina Clausen Petersen. She was married to Fred Mordhorst in Davenport, March 30, 1904. He died in 1944.

Survivors include 3 sons, Donald, Walcott; Gilbert, Durant and Harold of LeClaire, one daughter, Mrs. Alice Geisler, Davenport; 2 sisters, Mrs. Malinda Paul, Wilton and Mrs. Hulda Pingle, New Liberty; 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, 3 sisters, 6 brothers, one grandson and one great grandson.
