Katherine (Katie) Mary Jones

September 9, 1980-July 21, 2022

Katherine (Katie) Mary Jones of Robertsdale, AL (formerly Donahue, IA), age 41, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 21, 2022, with her soul mate, Mark, by her side. A celebration of his life for family and friends will take place on September 10, 2-4 PM at Unitarian Church in the Quad Cities, 3707 Eastern Ave., Davenport. For those who wish to participate, a small blessing will be provided at 3 pm.

Katie was born on September 9, 1980, in Davenport, Iowa, to Tim and Denise (Keehan) Jones. He graduated from North Scott High School and Scott Community College. Katie worked as a manager in the nutrition, health and fitness industries for many years.

More than anything, Katie loved her family and they were always her main priority. She preferred to live near the ocean and lived in North Carolina for several years, and settled in coastal Alabama with Mark in 2021. She had a love for softball and bowling which she shared with many, and overall an avid sports fan loved her Cyclones and Cubs. Katie was always optimistic. He loved butterflies and shoes.

He is survived by his mother, Denise (St. Petersburg, FL), fiancé, Mark Cox (Robertsdale, AL), their children, whom Katie considered her own; Bailey, Tucker, Ann and Lily. Sister’s; Sarah (Jeff) Loquist (Springfield, OR) and Kristin (Basil) Hassan (St. Petersburg, FL). nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; Madeline, Rosalie, Abraham, Paxton, Chance and Brett.

Katie was killed by her father, Tim, and grandparents; Charles and Juliet Keehan and Donald and Janet Jones. The family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice, Fairhope, AL for taking care of Katie until the end. Special thanks to Allie, Amy, Joel and Kenya.
