Jerol D. “Jerry” Grabosch, 94, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at River Crossing of Moline.
Funeral services will be 12pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church.
Jerry was born September 17, 1927 in Greencastle, MO, the son of John and Rita (Houston) Grabosch. He married Mildred Williams on July 7, 1947 in Unionville, MO. They just celebrated their 75 wedding anniversary.
Jerry retired from Caterpillar Tractor Works, Mount Joy, IA and prior to that at Metropolitan Insurance, Rock Island for 15 years. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a wonderful practical joker. He was a very loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; sons, John (Theresa) Grabosch, Blue Grass, IA, Jerry (Janet) Grabosch, York, PA and Jim (Becky) Grabosch, Rock Island; granddaughter, Shylee; grandsons, Paul, Sean, Micheal, Shane, Jermaire, Trae and Cory and great grandchildren, Marissa, Jace, Bradon, Evalee, Connor, Silas, and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother and sister, Jolene.
