Gerald Lee Schnoor, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schnoor, Stockton, and a fifth grade student in the Bennett Community school died in an accident at the family farm Oct. 29.

According to a statement by the Scott county medical examiner, the boy was standing on top of a corn crib when he fell into a hole created as his father operated an auger to remove corn from the bottom of the crib. The boy suffocated under the corn in the crib.

Services were held in Davenport Nov. 1. Memorial may be made to the Pee Wee baseball program in Dixon.

He was born in Davenport and was active in baseball and the elementary school at Bennett.

He is survived by his parents, 2 brothers, Craig and Brian, both at home, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Westphal and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schnoor, both of Davenport; his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Collier, LeClaire, Wiliam Schnoor and Mrs. Laura Schreoder, both of Davenport.
