Lolly R. Kile, 99, of Bettendorf earned her wings on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Senior Star, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Scott County Humane Society.

Lolly was born on August 15, 1922 in Landkirchen, Germany, the daughter of Hans and Erna (Thede) Meyer. Lolly spent her childhood and youth growing up in her beloved homeland. On September 18, 1948, she was united in marriage to Carl A. Volke in Landkirchen. Together they immigrated to the United States in December of 1954. They settled in Moline, Il, and also lived in Rock Island and Milan. Carl preceded her in death in 1971. Lolly later married Howard B. Kile on March 17, 1972, in Davenport. Together they owned and operated Kile’s Gifts located in Duck Creek Plaza, Bettendorf. Howard preceded her in death in 1992. Lolly was a former member of the Schleswig-Holstein Heritage Society.

Lolly lived at the Masonic Village, Bettendorf, until the past few years when she moved to Senior Star. Those left to honor her memory are her sisters, Marichen Milz and Erika Johannsen, both of Landkirchen, Germany; special friends, Tina Martins, Foline Koch, Loretta Siebke; numerous nieces, nephews, and many cousins in Germany as well as the United States.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents a brother and two husbands.
