Mary Kimberly Dorbeck, age 62, died peacefully, surrounded by family on July 3rd, 2022 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline with visitation one hour prior at the church. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 16th, 2022, 11:00AM at the Meadowbrook Country Club in West Memphis, AR. Memorials may be made to Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research.
Mary Kimberly Dorbeck was born on December 18, 1959, in East Moline, IL to Bruce and Janet Dorbeck. She graduated from United Township High School in 1978. In 1983, she moved to Tallulah, LA to be closer to family, married then relocated to West Memphis where she raised her 3 beautiful daughters and had a successful career, for 33 years, at Travel Leaders in Germantown, TN.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Kim had a passion for traveling, enjoyed being outdoors, watching her two youngest daughters play sports, and caring for her grand-dogs. Kim had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
Mary Kimberly Dorbeck is preceded in death by her father and mother, Bruce and Janet Dorbeck, her brother, Kyle Dorbeck and grand-dog, Bossy.
Kim is survived by 3 daughters, Kristen Gayle Norton, Kara Elizabeth Norton & Karla-Ann Norton; her brother, Tod Owen Dorbeck (Janet); significant other, Luther Hughes; grand-dogs, Nala, Shaq and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
