Natalie G. Amhof, 58, of Long Grove, passed away on Friday, July 1st, 2022 from advanced cancer. The visitation will be Friday, July 8th 4:30pm to 8pm at Runge Mortuary followed by a funeral service on Saturday, July 9th 11am at Park View Lutheran Church.

Natalie was born on January 4th, 1964 in Tokyo, Japan to Mary and William Vickrey. Natalie graduated from Davenport West High School with honors. She went on to get her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Iowa and received a specialization in wound care from Emory College. Throughout her time with Genesis Health Care, she worked as a nurse for over 25 years, majority of her time spent in wound care, as well as several years in administrative positions.

Natalie was joined in marriage to David Amhof on September 10th, 1994, and had two children, Amanda and Faith. At their home in Long Grove, Natalie spent a lot of time in her garden and loved to talk to everyone who passed by. When she wasn’t gardening, she was hosting family events, solving puzzles, watching Law & Order, Disney pin trading, and taking trips to Disney World.

Natalie was an active member of Park View Lutheran church, working as the treasurer and volunteering for everything she could.

Survivors include her husband, David Amhof; her daughters, Faith Amhof, IL, and Amanda Amhof, AZ; her sister, Valerie (Dennis) Ewoldt, IA; aunt, Anna Prince, IA; parents-in-law, Bonnie and Ronald Amhof, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

Natalie was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, Mary and William Vickrey, and sisters, Erica Vickrey and Diane Cox.

Memorials can be given to the family to be distributed to Natalie’s favorite charities.
