Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Wiese, a former resident of the Bennett area, were held at Durant April 16 with burial in Davenport. Mrs. Wiese died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, April 13, following an extended illness.

The daughter of Lewis and Tillie Tagel she was born July 7, 1903 near Walcott. She married Albert Wiese in Davenport Sept. 22, 1920. The couple farmed near Walcott and Bennett.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Helen) McFarland, Davenport; 2 brothers, Arlan Tagel, Davenport and Alvin Tagel, Denison, and 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955 and one son.
