Carolyn M. Pfannenstiel, 82, of Davenport, IA, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Genesis East Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport, with a Rosary Service starting at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, also at the Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com

Carolyn was born August 9, 1939, to Harold and Marjorie (Campbell) Bender in Fairfield, IA. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) High School. On June 8, 1963, Carolyn was united in marriage to Donald Pfannenstiel at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Davenport. She had her hands full raising four boys and enjoyed being active in Cub Scouts during their younger years. In her free time, she enjoyed cross stitch, baking, camping, and being a grandma to her beloved grandkids. Carolyn and her husband Donald were active in CASI, and were nominated volunteers of the year in 2019.

Carolyn will be missed by her four sons: Thomas, John, Paul, and James (Mary) all of Davenport; eight grandchildren: Josey, Miranda, Meghan, Spenser, Sydney, Miranda, Gabby, and Michael; and two sisters: Patricia Bender and Marjorie K. Bender.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, in 2020; a daughter-in-law, Michele Pfannenstiel; and a sister, Rosalie Thede.
