Thomas Earl Parr, age 79 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

He was born on December 21, 1942 in Davenport, Iowa to Earl Nicholas Parr and Jeanette Margaret Miller. He graduated from Assumption High School in Davenport, Iowa. He was employed by Farmall/Navistar and retired after thirty years. He served in the 1608th Air Transport Wing in Charleston, South Carolina. He enjoyed gardening, golf, watching sunsets and the Chicago cubs, spending time with his family, especially with his forever love, Lisa.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Earl Nicholas Parr; mother, Jeanette Margaret Miller; step mother, Alice Hastings; and sister, Carol Parr.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Elise Parr; daughters, Laurie (Tim) Shoemaker, Kelly (Kevin) Nitz; and Jennifer (Charles) Bartlett; grandchildren, Scott, Chris, Jessica, Alyssa, Natalie, Madison, Blake, and Brooke; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Parr and Joe Parr; Sisters, Mary Dasso, Marilyn Gerald, and Rose Ann O’Donnell; and beloved dog, Sami.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Humane Society.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff members at Ocean Springs Hospital, especially the staff of the SICU Unit. Together with hospice, they took great care of Thomas on his final days.

No services will be held. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs is honored to serve the family of Mr. Thomas Parr.
