PRINCETON-Larry Wilson, 72, of Princeton, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, June 9, at the Runge Mortuary. Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 10, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Jacks Cemetery, LeClaire, IA. Larry was born February 18, 1950 in Davenport, IA, the son of Alvin and Cecile (Cunningham) Wilson. On April 8, 1972 he was united in marriage to Barbara Buckley in Princeton, IA. He retired from trucking and continued to farm until his passing.

Larry loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was an avid hunter of duck and deer, and had a passion for pheasant hunting and was good at it. Larry loved gardening in his huge garden. He also enjoyed card club with his wife, coaching little league, and attending dirt track races. Larry received an honorary FFA degree in agricultural education through North Scott High School for kids interested in farming.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Wilson; sons, Scott (Missy) Wilson and James (Kayla) Wilson; grandchildren: Keaton, Kyler, Kameron, Cole, and Griffin; and siblings: Lois Wilson, Bonnie (Dale) Hein, Jerry (Linda) Wilson, Linda (Joe) Roberts, Rita (Don) Smith, Gerald (Denise) Wilson, Jack (Shirley) Wilson, Donna (John) Dion, Connie (Rodey) Tharp, Gloria (Curt) Wilson, and Tammy (Bruce) Suhl.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved niece, Lindsey Suhl.
