Frances Florence Bailey (1920-2022)

Frances Florence Bailey, age 99, of Centerville, passed away Monday, May 04, 2020 at the Homestead of Centerville.
Frances was born in Centerville, Iowa on September 3, 1920, the daughter of Joe and Winifred (Price) Fadiga. She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1939. She continued her education, graduating from AIB in 1940.
On January 3, 1948, Frances was united in marriage to Doyle Bailey in Rockford, Illinois. From this union, three children were born, Michael, Mindy, and Missy. In 1954, the couple moved back to Appanoose County, and bought a farm near Unionville, Iowa. They raised milk cows, pigs, chickens and row crop. In 1987, Frances and Doyle retired from farming, and moved to Centerville.
Frances enjoyed cooking, crafts, homemaking and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren for over 50 years and also a member the Unionville American Legion Auxillary.
Left to cherish Frances' memory are her children, Michael Bailey of Wayland, Iowa, Mindy (Ray) Payne of Centerville, Iowa, and Missy (James) Dawson of Huntsville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Seth Dawson of Hunstville, Missouri and Brynn (Trevor) Hayes of Huntsville, Missouri; four great grandchildren, Kenzie, Kylee, Karissa and Jordyn; and two sisters in law, Roberta Fadiga and Aileen Bevan.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Bailey; her parents, Joe and Winifred Fadiga; and 7 siblings, Morris Fadiga, Joe Fadiga, John Fadiga, Joann Davis, Barbara Carpenter, Betty Hart, and Charles Fadiga.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery, near Unionville, Iowa, with Pastor Sharon Heien officiating. An open visitation will take place from 4-7 PM, Friday, May 8, 2020 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, only ten people will be permitted inside the facility at one time. A memorial has been established to either the Fairview Church of the Brethren or the Fairview Cemetery Association, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
