Daniel G. “Magoo” Meguffy, 64, Hillsdale, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 1-3 PM at the Keg Tavern, 924 15th Avenue, East Moline. Private interment will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum.

Dan was born on June 16, 1957 in Moline, the son of Patrick and Gina (Nelson) Meguffy. He graduated from UTHS class of 1975. He married Beverly Riggs on May 10, 2003 in Hillsdale. Magoo worked 14 ½ years at the Rock Island Arsenal and retired as an inspector from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline in 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and searching for arrowheads. He was a member of Duck's Unlimited, Pheasants forever, the Keg Gun Club and was president of the Rock River Rocket Scientist Club. Dan loved time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Beverly “Magooette”, sons, Andy (Shelly) Meguffy, Barstow, and Shaine (Brandy) McGuirk, Moline, step daughters, Hollie Quilty and Elizabeth Pheifer, grandchildren; Damon McGuirk, Trevor Meguffy, Dayton Meguffy, Eva Carlton and Callie Jean Meguffy, siblings; Shawn (Susan) Meguffy, Reynolds, Kelly (Maggie) Meguffy, East Moline, Margaret “Meg” (Terry) Woolsey, Cambridge and Patrick (Mary) Meguffy, Milan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother, Joel Meguffy.
