DAVENPORT-Richard Lee "Dick" Dabillo, 84, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Davenport. Funeral services will be Friday, May 13, 2022 at 2 pm at The Runge Mortuary with visitation one hour prior to the service. His final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go to St. Mark Lutheran Church or to King's Harvest Pet Rescue. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Dick was born in Waterloo, Iowa on July 25, 1937. He was the son of Alvin and Irene (Hurley) Dabillo. He married Janice H. Schaeffer on October 3, 1970 in Davenport He was a member of St. Mark Church and enjoyed watching television, especially Westerns and traveling with his wife. Dick also was an avid dog lover over the years.

He worked as an industrial trucker for John Deere in East Moline starting in 1964 until retiring on March 31, 1995.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice "Jan", Davenport, sons: Troy L and Todd A. Dabillo, both of Davenport and one grandson.

His parents and a brother, Jack preceded him in death.

Dick was heartily entrusted with home watch by many from the neighborhood whom lovingly referred to him as the neighborhood watch dog. He will be greatly missed!
