Bo Buff Bradley Stueland

October 3, 1950-May 12, 2022

Bo Buff Bradley Stueland passed away in her home in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 12, 2022, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 71 years old. A funeral mass will be held on June 14 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Nashville. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks you to consider making a donation to The National Junior Angus Association in Bo's memory.

She was born on October 3, 1950, as the first child to parents Theron and Betty Bradley of Avon, Illinois, where she grew up on an Angus cattle farm alongside her two brothers.

She married her husband and love of 41-years Paul Stueland on June 2, 1974. They lived on a farm in Calamus, Iowa, for 25 years and raised two children. They moved to Tipton, Iowa, in 1999 and stayed until Paul's death in 2015 from early onset dementia. Bo supported and loved Paul as a caregiver for many years.

In 2020, Bo married Dave Hurlburt and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. It was a beautiful romance of two widowers who made one another very happy during their brief time together.

Bo left her mark as a teacher, inspiring and changing the lives of many children. She taught in the Calamus-Wheatland Elementary School District for 16 years and later taught at Tipton Community Schools.

She was a wonderful mother who supported and encouraged her kids across their passions. She was never dulled by a story and always an active and engaged listener. She was an extravert to the core, embracing the weirdness and oddities of life, craving new experiences, and always excited to meet people with different backgrounds. The world is certainly less bright with her passing.

Those surviving to remember Bo include her husband Dave Hurlburt; son, Matthew (Josephine) Stueland; daughter Jaquel (Joshua) Streets; brother Theron "Smasher" Bradley II; sister-in-law Frankie Jo Bradley; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
