Obituary
David A. Clementz, 70, of Port Byron passed away April 28, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.

A Memorial service will be 11am Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at First Southern Baptist Church, Colona with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the church. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.

David was born July 21, 1951 in Silvis IL the son of Jack and Mary Flemming Kent. He worked as a sheet metal worker for 32 years. He was a member of 2 sheet metal unions Local 91 and Local 1. David served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed mission trips, summer bible camps, volunteering at Baptist Children’s Home, teaching children, and woodworking. He loved sports and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his wife Sharon; children Rosemary (Jeff) Siirila, Georgia (Paul) Bohannan, Sara Sims, and Katie Nordholm; grandchildren Collette Bohannan, Sylis Bohannan, and Jen DeCock; 3 great grandchildren, and best friends Scot and Nancy Reimers.

David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jeff Kent.
