Dale Lawrence Dexter, 80, of LeClaire, IA, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at home. A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com

Dale was born December 16, 1941, to Glenn and Catherine (Bolster) Dexter in Davenport. He graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1960. Dale then attended Parson’s College in Fairfield, IA, where he played football. On June 13, 1964, Dale was united in marriage to Marla Dimmick in Davenport. Dale was a lifetime farmer in Scott County. In his younger years, he enjoyed tractor pulling and traveling Scott County roads with his buddy Karl. Dale was a member of the Farm Bureau and a 4H poultry supervisor for the Mississippi Valley Fair. His hobbies included fishing trips to Canada and hunting. Dale also enjoyed the simple pleasures of his life as a farmer and the occasional refreshing beverage with his friends.

Dale is survived by his wife, Marla; children: Chad (Joni) Dexter, Kye Dexter, and Glenda (Neil) Wingler; grandchildren: Allison, Brynn, Carlyn, and Draven; a great grandchild, Ezra; and his siblings: Bruce, Craig, and Leland. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Paula Joy; a brother, Andrew; and his beloved dog, Karl.
