Funeral services for Henry Helkenn, 89, were held Feb. 21 in Davenport, with the Rev. O. H. Meyer of St. Mark's church, Davenport, officiating. Burial was in the Walcott cemetery.

Mr. Helkenn was found dead in his home in Walcott following a fire Feb. 19. Death was due to smoke inhalation.

Born at Long Grove April 14, 1880, he was married to Minnie Meier near Eldridge Feb. 24, 1904. He farmed in the Walcott community for 55 years, moving to Walcott 10 years ago. Mrs. Helkenn died Oct. Oct. 28, 1967.

He is survived by 2 children, Carl, Walcott and Mrs. Howard Lane, Wilton; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were nephews: Elmer and Fred Hamann, Clarence Bell, Harvey Engler, Hubert Wuestenberg and Rolland Helkenn.
