DAVENPORT-Wallace L. "Wally" Miller, 93, of Davenport, IA., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A Masonic Service will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Funeral Services to follow. He will be laid to rest in Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa. Memorials may be made in his name to the Just Dogs Animal Rescue, Tipton, Iowa. Wally was born March 22, 1928 in New Liberty, IA to Lorenz "Ike" and Florence (Lamp) Miller.

He served proudly in The United States Navy aboard the U.S.S Wilkes Barre and the U.S.S. Randolph. He was united in marriage to, Phyllis Arp May 1, 1949 in Davenport.

He drove trucks for Oscar Mayer and Murray's Transfer for many years.

Wally was a member of the Davenport Masonic Lodge #37, Mohassen Grotto, where he was past Monarch, the Kaaba Shrine, Louisa Grotto, the Blue Lodge, and past president of the Midwest Grotto Association.

He is survived by, his loving wife, of 72 yrs. Phyllis; his children, Bonnie (Randy) Meyer, New Liberty, IA., Barry (Diana) Miller, East Moline, IL., Beverly (Patrick) Ryan, Davenport, IA, and Bradley (Pam) Miller, Calamus, IA.; seventeen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and 19 great, great grandchildren, with two on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Phyllis Ashcraft, and grandson, Thomas.
