Stirling was born on March 19, 1962, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of John and Aljean (Winthers) Fuller. He enlisted in the United States Navy at age 19, where he served for four years as an electrician and gunner’s mate.

Stirling worked in construction with his dad, followed by numerous jobs in manufacturing. He married Laura Harris of Benton and together, they had four beautiful daughters. Stirling loved spending time with his family, especially on holidays, and he was a wonderful grandfather. He was a hard worker and was able to rig anything together. He was proud of his Ford Escort, which he spray painted red and nicknamed “The Flame”. He loved making homemade gifts for everyone, wrote poetry and songs, and enjoyed fishing and golfing, even though his daughters beat him in golf. From belting out Werewolves of London to shooting fireworks that seemed to heat-seek out Laura, Stirling was fun loving and the life of the party. At one time, Stirling was livin’ large in Cresco.

Survivors include his daughters, Destani “Big Girl” (Josh) Kieler, Kieler, WI, Angie “Angel Girl” (Corey) Erickson, Mineral Point, WI, Ruthann “Honker Bonks” (Ethan) Dean, Spragueville, IA, and Hali “Gobber Goos” (fiancé, Brandon Anderson) Fuller, Mount Carroll, IL; his siblings, Susan (Joe) Sborz, Minersville, PA, Wanda (Joe) Mazzuca, Pottsville, PA, Brenda (Dave) Shepherd, Benton, WI, and John (Jo) Fuller, Monroe, WI; and eight grandchildren, Dominic, Lawson, Nathan, Sophia, Noah, Gracie, Adalyn and Evelyn.
