George S. Boyle, 66, of Colona, Illinois, died Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, Iowa.

Services are 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Pastor Sadie Kaminski of Heritage Church officiating. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, with private burial in Fairfield, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Iowa.

George Steven Boyle was born October 23, 1955, the son of Richard and Edith (Popejoy) Boyle. He married Toni Christensen on August 26, 2005, in Rock Island, Illinois. He was a welder for many years, retiring from Case IH and then working for several years at BMI.

He loved being outdoors and had a keen eye for spotting wildlife. He was a lifelong fisherman, and particularly enjoyed taking fishing trips to Wisconsin with his friends. He was a hockey fan, and relished attending Mallards and BlackHawks games with his family. George loved baseball, a passion he passed on to his daughter, teaching her how to play, collecting baseball cards together, cheering her on at her softball games, and attending River Bandits and Cubs games together. George also enjoyed attending Broadway plays with his wife.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Toni Smith; two children, Joshua Christensen of Moline, and Brianna Huber of Rock Island; two granddaughters, Olivia Christensen and Mikaela Slay; two brothers, David and Daniel Boyle, both of East Moline; a nephew, Nathan Boyle; a niece, Hailey Boyle; and his beloved dog and cat, Lola and Millie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and John Boyle.
