Anita Linke Hall Eyestone

August 18, 1938-November 5, 2021

Anita Linke Hall Eyestone, 83, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, at noon at Runge Mortuary, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 PM. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Davenport.

Anita was born on August 18, 1938 in Armstrong, Iowa, to Alfred Linke and Marie Isabelle Saxton. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1956. Anita then attended Buselles Beauty School receiving a diploma in Cosmetology. She married James Hall in 1957 and lived one year in Texas. Back in Davenport she was employed at Karl's Beauty Salon. Sherry's Tint & Tone, Moline New York Store, The Queens Parlour and her own salon, The Hair Company.

While located in the Quad Cities, Anita was active in local and state cosmetology association through National Cosmetology Association (NCA). She held many offices in the Quad Cities and was a board member of The Illinois State Association, worked on many committees to better the profession, plus the Illinois Cosmetology Council as a Liaison of the State Association. Anita loved her profession!

Anita and her first husband, Jim were very active in the Quad City Rugby Football team where she garnered the nickname, "MOTHER RUGBY"!

In October 1985, Anita moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and opened 2 Salons, The Hair Company and Beauty and the Beach. Anita married Richard Eyestone in 1993 and lived in the area after his death.

Anita was preceded in death by husbands, James Hall and Richard Eyestone; mother and father, Alfred and Marie Linke; son, Peter Hall; and brothers, Wayne and Eugene Linke.

Those left to cherish Anita's memory are sons, John Christopher Hall (Santa Rosa Beach, Florida) and Joseph Matthew Hall (Columbus, Ohio); grandsons, Christopher Bozeman, James Hall, Mathew Hall, Bryan Hall and Jackson Hall; sister, Judith (Eldon) Greiman; sister-in-law, Joann (Wayne) Linke; and many nieces and nephews.
