DAVENPORT-James T. Searle, 72, of Davenport, IA, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at home. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and he will be inurned at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. Please join the family on Wednesday, November 10, at 4:00 p.m., at the Duck Creek Lodge to celebrate the life and times of James Searle. Memorials may be directed to Boy Scouts of America. James was born August 28, 1949, to Elmer and Barbara (Buell) Searle in Cambridge, IL. He proudly served in the U.S Air force from 1968 to 1974. On August 10, 1974, James was united in marriage to Katherine McLeod at the Unitarian Church in Davenport. He worked most of his career with General Foods. James was a part of the Saukenuk Paddlers & Kayak Club of Moline, IL.

James will be missed by his wife, Katherine; son, Scott Searle; a grandson, Caden Wiseman; and two sisters: Virginia (Dave) Pippert and Barbara Jean (Gordon) Clark and honorary mom Betty McLeod. He was preceded in death by his parents.
