Services for Clarence Mordhorst, 61, New Liberty tavern operator who died Jan. 20, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Frick Funeral home, Durant. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial park.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

Mr. Mordhorst was born in Wheatland. He married Elsie Muhs Feb. 7, 1929, in Davenport.

The couple farmed for a time in Scott county. For the past 20 years they operated Marty's Tavern.

Mr. Mordhorst is survived by his wife; a son, Delmar, Bennett; 2 daughters, Mrs. Otto (Delores) Stender, Walcott, and Mrs. Fred (Darlene) Dircks, New Liberty; 12 grandchildren; his mother, Bertha Mordhorst, Durant; a sister, Mrs. Theodore (Alice) Geisler, Davenport, and 3 brothers, Donald, Walcott; Gilbert, Durant, and Harold, Buffalo.
