Obituary
Private family services for Mable Pauline Filbrandt, 105, of Davenport, will be at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Family will greet friends on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Mable passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Senior Star at Elmore Place, Davenport.

Mable P. Dreschler was born on February 2, 1916 in Davenport, the daughter of August and Anna (Hammond) Dreschler. She married Herman C. Filbrandt on February 14, 1936 in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mable was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Davenport and had graduated from LeClaire High School in 1933.

Mable ran a beauty shop in LeClaire and later went to the Rock Island Arsenal where she worked in the disbursing section of finance. After her retirement she enjoyed spending time at her home with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son; Bruce (Belinda) Filbrandt or McNabb IL, grandchildren; Paul Filbrandt, of LeClaire, two great-grandchildren; Cheyenne and Savanna of LeClaire, three great great-grandchildren; Kaydon, Blake and Colton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, and two sisters and a granddaughter; Pam Tague.

Memorials may be directed to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Cancer Society.
