Gordon D. Noble, 76, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Genesis East Medical Center.
Visitation will held from 10 am until noon, Monday, October 25, at The Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. Online condolences may be expressed at ww.rungemortuary.com.

Gordon was born in Davenport on May 6, 1945. He was the son of Thomas and Mildred (Ricketts) Noble. He attended Davenport schools prior to entering the Marine Corp and serving in Vietnam during 1965 and 1966. Following his military service, he attended Palmer Chiropractic College. He worked for a few years in Gibson City and Lostant, Illinois before moving to the Quad City area and beginning a career working many positions at the Rock Island Arsenal for close to 30 years. He was extremely grateful to be able to participate in an Honor Flight. After retiring, he went to work for his son, Jason’s landscape business, Noble Lawn Care & Landscaping.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, vegetable gardening, walking his dog, Hunter, four-wheeling, riding jet skis and working out at the gym. His greatest time was spent with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Bryan (Anita) Noble, Bettendorf, Mindee Webb, fiancé Joseph Hughes, Dixon, IA, Gina (James) Noble Keitel, Lost Nation, IA and Jason (Amy) Noble, Sherrard, IL; grandchildren: Zoe, Isabel, Natalie, Madison, Carly, Priscilla, Tony, Alexa and Jace; siblings: Thomas Noble, Jr., Connie Endersak, Marlene (Les) Sholly, Marcia Noble and Timothy Noble, faithful companion, Hunter and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved Golden Retriever, Chase, and brothers, Steven and Scotland (in infancy).
