Anna Ramirez Contreras, 67, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, September 30, 2021, in University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the family.

Anna Marie Ramirez was born June 1, 1954, in Moline, to Jesse “Hawk” Ramirez and Lupe Masias. She was employed at Rhythm City Casino for 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline. She loved being a mom and grandma, and enjoyed cooking, swimming, and spending time with her family and close friends.

Anna is survived by her children, Michael Ramirez, Christine DeSilva, Esteban Jauregui, and Adam (Laura) Jauregui, all of Moline, and David DeSilva of Phoenix, Arizona; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her mother, Lupe Tapia of Moline; and siblings, Laura Mathena of Moline, Rose (Dennis) Scheper of Rock Island, Delores (Scott) Scribner of Greenup, Illinois, and Bob (Dalia) Tapia of Moline. She was preceded in death by her father and her daughter, Angelica Jauregui.
