JoAnn Dierickx, 85, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in Waupaca, Wisconsin.

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, Toronto, Iowa. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Big Rock, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family.

JoAnn was born on January 9, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Edward "Eddie" and Alice Matilda (Galitz) Donult. She was united in marriage to August Dierickx on July 7, 1956 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Long Grove, Iowa. They shared almost 64 years of marriage and memories together before his passing on June 28, 2020. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Michele (Katsuyuki) Nanto of Bartlett, Illinois, Mike Dierickx of Maplewood, Minnesota, Janine (Jason) Moe of Hudson, Wisconsin, and Joseph (Kathy) Dierickx of Marshfield, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Tomio (Helena Lazar) Nanto, Kenji (Stephanie) Nanto, Mikio Nanto, Matthew Dierickx, Zachary (Emily) Dierickx, Brian Dierickx, Joshua Dierickx, Karissa and Tylene Dierickx; great-grandchildren: Skylar and Kylie Dierickx, Kai, Naomi, Emi , and Mya Nanto.

In addition to her husband August, her parents preceded her in death. May they rest in peace.
