MOLINE-Susan J. Waite, 74, of Moline, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at her home.

Private funeral services will be at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials can be made to Gilda's Club.

Susan was born December 8, 1946 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Charles and Jane (Wood) Johnson. She married Joe Waite on January 27, 1978 in Moline, IL. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2015.

Susan retired from the former Hasty Tasty Restaurant, Moline. She previously worked for Montgomery Ward and Stardust Motel. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include her son, Jason Waite, Moline; brothers, Mike (Dana) Johnson, Davenport, Tim (Pam) Johnson, Moline, Pat (Debbie) Johnson, Le Claire, IA and KC (Randi) Johnson, Moline and a sister, Bridget (Mike) Frieden, Davenport.

The family would like to thank Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Dr. Porubcin and staff and all of her caregivers for the special care given to Sue.
