Romeyne "Ro" Noah

SILVIS-Romeyne "Ro" Noah passed away at the age of 91 on June 13, 2021 at Hope Creek Rehabilitation Center.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, at First Evangelical Free Church, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the church.

Romeyne was born in 1930, to Carl and Mildred (Johnson) Clauson, in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to the Quad Cities at the age of 10, she graduated from Moline High School in 1948. She graduated from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1951.

She married JD "Buck" Noah in 1959 in Moline. They lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Omaha, Nebraska, where their daughter, Dianne, was born in 1964. They returned to the Quad Cities in 1967.

She worked as an RN for 50 years for various Doctors and eventually retired from Alcoa in 1995.

She was a faithful member of First Evangelical Free Church in Moline for over 65 years. She was a devout Christian who loved reading her Bible and praying for others. She loved traveling and was fortunate enough to visit all 52 states over the course of her lifetime.

Romeyne was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and spent many days at Wrigley Field in Chicago as a child and watching on TV as an adult. She loved her Whitey's Ice Cream and was a frequent diner at Village Inn with friends and co-workers.

Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Noah, of Arvada, Colorado; brother, Stan (Barb) Clauson of Moline; nephew, Jonathan (Lisa) Clauson and great-nephew, David Clauson of Florida; niece, Lee Hunt and great-niece, Megan Hunt, of Texas; Goddaughters, Julie Shutt and Joanne Nelson; and many special friends.
