Linda Sue Adams Lampo

TYBEE ISLAND, GA-Linda Sue Adams Lampo, 73, died peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by family. She was born in Moline, IL, daughter of Carl B. and Marion Tuthill Adams, one of 11 children born to them. Ms. Lampo was a 1966 graduate of Moline High. In 1969, she enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict and was subsequently injured and honorably discharged. During her time of service in the United States Army, she was a member of the Women's Army Band, later she worked as an administrative assistant for the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, IL. She treasured her relationships with God and her family, never met a stranger, and was known best for her love of others and her wonderful sense of humor.

Surviving are her children, John Adams of Davenport, IA; Tina Moseley (William) of Tybee Island, GA; Dawn Glaudel (Brian) of Davenport, IA; siblings, Cynthia Reeves (Scott) of Davenport, IA; Judith Becker of Moline, IL; Mary Adams of Peoria, IL; Thurlow Adams (Audrey) of Moline, IL; James Adams (Vlatka) of Killeen, TX; Timothy Adams (Glenda) of Walnut Hill, FL; brother-in-law, Ty Bryant of Grove City, OH; sister-in-law, Gladys Adams of Orlando, FL; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, twin siblings who died at birth, sister, Patricia Bryant, brother, Donald Adams, brother-in-law, Duane Becker, granddaughter, Jennifer Lauber, son-in-law, Donald "Mike" Lauber, and a lifelong friend and confidant, Oscar "Scotty" Scott.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Weerts Funeral Home, 3625 Jersey Ridge Rd., Davenport, IA.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 in the Chapel of Weerts Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/WeertsFuneral for those unable to attend. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Interment will follow at Rock Island Arsenal Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.
