BETTENDORF-Funeral services to celebrate the life of Susan V. Davidson, 79, of Bettendorf will be 10:00am Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport. The family will greet friends Tuesday at church from 9:00am until the time of the mass. Private family inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to be made in Sue's name to Handicapped Development Center. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting with arrangements.

Sue died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at The Fountains in Bettendorf following a sudden illness.

Susan Vonachen was born October 1, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of J. Robert and Helen (Brown) Vonachen.

Sue was united in marriage to William C. Davidson on December 29, 1963, in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2016.

Sue was a homemaker, business owner, and volunteer. She owned and operated The Plaid Rabbit in Davenport, volunteered at the Quad City Symphony Orchestra Second Fiddle Sale, Festival of Trees and more. Sue was a member of Junior League and Sacred Heart Cathedral. She was always "projecting" around the house and family cabin up north, decorating, and always enjoyed having fun. She loved gardening, and belonged to the Weeds Garden Club with her friends.

Those left to honor Sue's memory include her sons, Todd C. Davidson, Santa Barbara, California and Cameron A. (Mary) Davidson, Bettendorf; four beloved grandchildren, Kenzie, Melanie, Abigail, and Bennett; siblings, Jay (Betty) Vonachen of Peoria, Illinois, Rudy (Carol) Vonachen of Peoria, Illinois, Cassie (Mike) Schmidt of Wheaton, Illinois, and Amy (Steve) Tippett of Peoria, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Courtney "Cory" Davidson.
