Melvin “Butch” O’Haver Jr., 64, of Davenport, IA, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Genesis East Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2021, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021, also at Weerts Funeral Home. Melvin was born August 26, 1956, to Melvin Sr. and Barbara (Pennuto) O’Haver in Joliet, IL. He graduated from Davenport West High School. On October 1, 1977, Melvin was united in marriage to Katherine Keller in Davenport. He was employed at Eagles for about 10 years and worked for five years at Wendy’s on West Locust. Melvin loved making models of many types- cars, planes, ships, watching movies, playing video games, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He had a great interest in Sci-Fi and Western related movies.

Melvin will be missed by his wife, Katherine; children: Scott O’Haver, Sarah (Kevin) Humiston, and Christopher (Fae) O’Haver; grandchildren: Khloe, Seth, Alexis, Peyton, Griffin, and Archer; and siblings: Cheryl Terbush, Ronald (Theresa) O’Haver, Lisa O’Haver, Tim O’Haver, Tracy O’Haver, Matthew O’Haver, Tara (Doug) Stephens, and Miranda O’Haver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings: Mikel, Linda, and Frank O’Haver.
