Services for Benjamin Kahl, 87, Durant, who died March 18 in the Wilton Nursing Home, Wilton Junction, were held in Davenport March 21. Burial was in the Blue Grass cemetery.

Mr. Kahl was born in Buffalo Township, Scott county. He married Harriett Preston in 1903 in Davenport. The couple farmed in Scott county for 59 years, until Mr. Kahl retired in 1952. Mrs. Kahl died in 1964.

Mr. Kahl is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul Rehfuss, Davenport; sons, Harland R., Hemet, Calif., and H. Allen, Durant; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
