Harlan E. Rohwer, 97, of Eldon, MO, formerly of Donahue, IA, was called home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2021 at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, MO. Services celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday May 10, 2021 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may left to First Baptist Church, Davenport. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Harlan was born on November 5, 1923 in Donahue, IA to Albert and Emma (Dohrmann) Rohwer. He was united in marriage to Ruth Bimson on October 22, 1955 in Quincy, IL. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2013. Harlan worked in the tool crib at J.I. Case plant, retiring after 35 years of employment.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a volunteer for VNS Respite Case for 13 years. He was a dedicated husband and family man. Harlan spent the last seven years of his life living with his son and daughter-in-law enjoying many new experiences with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by his loyal companions Teddy, Molly and Linus, his beloved dogs.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, Melvin (Karen) Rohwer of Eldon, Mo.; grandsons, Adam Rohwer, Aaron Rohwer and Alex (Erin) Rohwer; great-grandsons, Quinton, Ryder, Banx; great granddaughter, Ava and a brother, Albert Rohwer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters, Ruth, Alberta, Louella and Darlene.
