Roy W. Schiele, 80, Durant, died Nov. 21 at his home after a 6-months illness. He was former owner of the Durant Bottling works, retiring nearly 30 years ago.

A native of Montpelier, he had served in World War I.

In 1919 Mr. Schiele married Alma Werner in Davenport. A member of the Walcott American Legion Post No., 548, he also belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Wilton Junction, the Davenport Consistory and Shrine and Davenport Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife and 2 brothers, Harry, Davenport and Arthur, Durant. A daughter, Ruth Ann, died in 1923.

Funeral services were held Nov. 25, with burial in the Walcott cemetery.
